Abstract:Objective To detect selectively the activity of hepatitis B virus mRNA and to understand HBV replicative status from different specimens. Method The activity of hepatitis B virus mRNA was selectively and specifically detected by random amplification cDNA ends. Results HBV mRNA could be only detected fm HBV replicative samples such as HBV DNA positive hepatocellular carcinome tissue and HBV DNA transfected HepG22 .2. 15 cells, could not be detected from samples without HBV replication such as HBV DNA negative liver tissue,PLC/PRF/5cells HBV DNA positive sera. Conclusions Selective detection of hepatitis B virus mR NA by random amplification cDNA ends is rapid.sensitive and specific. It can be used for monitoring of HBV active replication and for evaluating of antiviral therapy in clinical and in laboratory research.
